Tony Belfield is the Founding Director of STAXS and a Chartered Accountant (and Scientist) by profession. He has worked for two of the big four international accounting firms in senior roles for over 8 years, and has conducted over 40 management consulting assignments in Europe, USA, Asia and Australia.
Tony also worked as a Veterinary Scientist for 11 years – experience which stands him in good stead when working on R & D tax issues for clients who are innovating through research and development in scientific and technical areas.

- Over 20 years of R&D experience across many sectors, including energy & resources (minerals, oil & gas), manufacturing, aerospace, pharmaceutical, retail, and agribusiness; 3 patents and 8 scientific papers published
- With a passion for Cambrian and pre-Cambrian geology has spent 10 years exploring key sites in South Australia of geological significance
